Dear Parents, Athletes and Patrons of Alamo City All-Stars Sportsplex,
My name is Edward J Dahl Jr., Director of South Texas Volleyball Academy (STVA). For those of you who don’t know me, our volleyball club started with my father, Edward Dahl, Sr., with the vision to help more players reach their competitive goals by providing affordable, high-quality coaching for aspiring volleyball players. Our club has called Alamo City All-stars (ACA) home for the past 5 years. We started with only a handful of teams, and have now grown to over 24 national, regional, and local teams. Over the years, our goal has been to grow STVA into a national competitive volleyball club – and continuing my father’s vision, we have done just that. Thankfully, with the help, support, and participation of so many including our loyal staff, coaches, parents, and athletes, I am happy to say that we have been able to accomplish so many of the goals we have set year-over-year.
In fact, last year, we took 5 teams to national playoffs with all teams placing at Nationals! As the next phase of growth, we set out to acquire the Alamo City All-Stars Sportsplex facility so that we can continue our mission serving as many aspiring student athletes as possible. With that said, we are excited to announce, along with our partners – Victory Sports Performance, we have just finalized the buy-out of the ACA Sportsplex facility.
I want to thank Tom and Grace Brown, the previous owners of ACA, for the relationship we established over the years and the incredible opportunity to take the Sportsplex to the next level. Tom and Grace built ACA with the vision to reach as many young athletes as possible and to provide a healthy environment for kids to grow and prosper in competitive sports. Because of our alignment in goals that led to the successful growth and acquisition of the facility, we are enthusiastic about the future as we embark on this journey.
Again, I want to thank all of our supporters throughout the years and those who have made a difference in the lives of all the young players that has either competed or played at ACA throughout the last 7 years of operation. Along with my staff and partners, I look forward to continuing the mission and dedication to bringing a safe and healthy environment for athletes and players to grow in character, skills and competitive sports.
Be on the lookout for more announcements during this transition so that all parents and players are well informed of our plans for the future.
Thank you,
Edward J Dahl, Jr.
